Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in mechanical, biomedical, or other engineering degree with similar mechanical-engineering background preferred; Other engineering or core-science degrees are acceptable with relevant work experience
Previous experience with CNC machining
Proficiency with CAD / 3D design programs (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA)
Previous experience coordinate-measurement-machines (CMM) (examples such as Micro-Vu, Nikon, other contact probing or optical measurement systems)

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency generating engineering drawings and demonstrated experience applying GD&T
Design control experience in a medical device application, such as writing / executing test and validation protocols, writing procedures and manufacturing instructions, or performing GR&R’s and equipment validation.
Previous CNC lathe experience, especially for optical component fabrication
Experience programming CNC equipment (e.g. G code)
Experience programming CMM equipment (e.g. setting up automated part measurement programs on Nikon or Micro-Vu CMM machines
