Trustpoint.One is assisting a national law firm in seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join their office in San Francisco on a direct hire basis. The ideal candidate will have between two – five years of relevant experience.
This role is hybrid, onsite 3 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Commercial Litigation Paralegal include:
- Prepare subpoenas and deposition notices;
- Coordinate and handle filings in electronic and paper format, in state and federal courts;
- Request records, medical records and authorizations;
- Prepare cast of characters and chronology of events;
- Prepare record and deposition summaries;
- Draft form pleadings and form discovery;
- Review court dockets for case team review and case information;
- Prepare and organize exhibits for motions and /or depositions;
- Create and maintain databases for case and document management;
- Prepare spreadsheets and otherwise track discovery requests;
- Organize and supervise document productions in conjunction with Practice Technology professionals and vendors;
- Oversee logistical preparations related to depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations;
- Prepare and organize trial notebooks and demonstrative exhibits;
- Attend and assist at trial, arbitration, and mediation.
Qualifications of the Commercial Litigation Paralegal
- Bachelor’s degree with two to five years of substantive commercial litigation experience within a law firm;
- Experience with e-filings in state and federal courts and/or working with other legal professionals to get the filings prepared and e-filed;
- Experience with review tools such as Relativity, TextMap, and other share filing related software;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel;
- Outstanding organizational, administrative, and communication (oral and written) skills;
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
