We seek an experienced Senior Data Architect with extensive expertise in the Oracle technology stack to join our team on a contract basis. 9+ month contract
This is hybrid role with 3 days a week onsite in Mount Pleasant, New York.

The ideal candidate will design, optimize, and implement data architecture strategies to support our enterprise systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, DBAs, business analysts, and stakeholders, to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architecture solutions using the Oracle technology stack (Oracle Database, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Exadata, etc.).
- Develop and optimize data models, database schemas, and structures that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Lead the design of data integration, ETL processes, and data migration strategies across multiple systems.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards, including data quality, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure optimal database performance and troubleshoot issues related to data architecture.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing data warehouse and data lake strategies to support analytics and reporting.
- Evaluate and recommend new Oracle technologies, tools, and methodologies that can enhance data management capabilities.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications for data architecture.
- Mentor and guide junior data architects, data engineers, and other technical staff to align with architectural goals.
- Document and maintain architectural frameworks, guidelines, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, with a strong focus on the Oracle stack.
- Proven experience with Oracle Database (versions 11g, 12c, 19c), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Exadata, and other Oracle tools.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning in Oracle environments.
- Experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence (BI) solutions.
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, and compliance best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle solutions, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is a plus.
- Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and integration strategies across heterogeneous systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data architecture issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile environments.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar Oracle certification preferred.
