Penn Vet was founded in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and has since grown to open branches in Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are searching for a talented and competitive individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented setting as a Territory Manager (Outside Sales), selling to veterinary clinics in the Central NJ area. Daily local travel and overnight travel (4x a year) required. Territory Managers provide excellent service to Penn Vet's customers and prospects in their assigned area in order to achieve sales objectives and goals.
One (1) full-time position is available: Candidates must live within or near assigned territory lines and be able to work a flexible schedule Monday thru Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with key accounts and potential customers with the goal of establishing new accounts.
- Establish consistent buying habits with newly opened accounts.
- Present and sell products and services to customers.
- Demonstrate companion selling, upselling and cross-selling skills to increase sales.
- Meet/exceed month sales goals.
- Develop in-depth understanding of the veterinary distribution business, the competition, the products, vendors, and the marketplace.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving customer complaints.
- Stay informed of new products and promotions.
- Attend quarterly regional meetings, and other weekly and monthly calls as required.
- Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.
Qualifications:
- Analytical Skills, and Communication skills
- Purchasing, Supply, and Procurement skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Experience in sales, preferably in the veterinary or healthcare industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in using computers and their programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
Base salary plus commissions/bonuses averages gross earnings $55,000 - $100,000 annually. Additional car allowance and monthly expense account is provided.
