Overview
As the Global Head of Procurement - Indirect Category expense, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global procurement strategy for all indirect expense categories, such as facilities, IT, company vehicles, marketing, and contract labor. You will reach across geographical and functional boundaries to partner and collaborate with senior leaders and external suppliers to optimize the value and performance of the indirect expense portfolio. You will also drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the global procurement strategy and policies for indirect expense categories, aligned with the company's objectives and best practices.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect expense categories, including sourcing, contracting, negotiating, supplier management, risk management, and compliance.
- Provide coaching, development, and growth opportunities to strengthen the bench across the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Monitor and report on the performance and savings of the indirect expense portfolio, using data and analytics to identify opportunities and risks.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to optimize the procurement function, leveraging digital tools, automation, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing global procurement strategies for indirect expense categories, delivering value and savings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to manage complex and cross-functional projects and teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and insights to drive results.
- Highly proficient in procurement tools and systems, such as ERP, e-procurement, contract management, and spend analysis.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in procurement, especially in the areas of digitalization, sustainability, and innovation.
