Elmer’s Home Services is the premier HVAC and Plumbing service provider based in San Antonio, TX and servicing San Antonio, Dallas and the Houston markets. We are seeking a highly motivated HR Director to provide expertise and counsel in areas of compensation, benefits, employee relations, employment law, health and safety, workers compensation, organizational development, performance management, and training. This exciting strategic and hands-on role would lead the HR function, reporting into Operations Leadership, supporting 200+ employees across Texas.
Job Description:
- Provides senior level HR Leadership including but not limited to managing personnel records & compliance, onboarding & training, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, organization development, training and special projects.
- Works closely with Operations Leaders and Recruiting Manager, as needed on strategic HR initiatives, including recruitment, engagement and retention strategy, employee recognition, and talent development programs.
- Partners with Operations Leaders and Trainers on new hire orientation and ongoing training programs.
- Processes all STD, LTD, FMLA, and Workers Compensation claims
- Provides reporting on HR KPI’s, including retention and turnover rates

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems; experience with ADP preferred
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 8-10 years of human resource management experience required
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
