JOB PURPOSE: To provide clinical leadership and oversight of the vaccine program for the enterprise by working directly with the Medical Dept, Operations as well as with practice teams including office managers, providers, and clinical staff. This role will serve as a liaison with the vaccine vendor.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information as regard to HIPAA laws
- Develops and facilities vaccine training for clinical staff
- Leads vaccine new hire orientation/onboarding training
- Performs vaccine audits on a regular basis reporting out findings
- Validates vaccine administration competencies of clinical staff
- Provides leadership and oversight for the vaccine inventory processes
- Serves as a back-up for vaccine support for administrative question
- Responsible for leading meetings or communication for reporting out information to key stakeholders as needed
- Provides oversight of the Vaccine for Children Program
- Ensures compliance on all vaccine programs, documentation and timely updates as needed including vaccine consents
- Ownership of updating templates for vaccine ordering in EMR, works with IT and RCM to ensure proper input of vaccines into EMR
- Performs any administrative or clinical duties as requested by the provider
- Provide excellent customer service and professionalism to our patients, internal and external customers
- Responsible for maintaining communication with our vaccine vendor
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
- Licensure and Certifications:
- Registered Nursing License (RN) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an RN
- Required to have Medication, Vaccination and Clinical Competencies and Knowledge
