Tata Communications is seeking an Account Manager to help support our North American Sales Organization. This is a hybrid role, we are seeking candidates in the following areas; Reston VA, Matawan, NJ, Tribeca, NY, Atlanta, GA, Santa Clara, CA, and Burbank / Glendale, CA.
In this role, you will:
- Strategic Portfolio Management: Lead a set of accounts ensuring high satisfaction, profitability, and growth. Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with customers; recommending solutions that are both cross-sell and up-sell focused. Consistently be on the lookout for revenue opportunities and deliver greater value to our clients.
- Manage Client Relationships: Manage the day to day needs and questions that arise from our clients, deliver reports, and take a proactive role in driving weekly conversations to ensure we stay relevant by cultivating and maintaining proactive and strong relationships with clients.
- Contract and Procurement Management: Proactively manage pricing negotiations and contract renewals. Liaise with multiple teams across the organization to ensure that contract requirements are being met accurately and in a timely manner.
- Create Materials and Presentations: Craft clear and concise e-mail communications, create presentations containing key data, historical findings, and relevant research on a regular basis. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s business operations in conjunction with our business to ensure the articulation of current industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of account management, business development, or other relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience developing partnerships and sustaining meaningful business relationships.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
- Proven skills in asking probing questions, listening to customer needs, presenting viable solutions and pricing, negotiations, handling objections, and closing the deal.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several different tasks and various accounts simultaneously while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to travel domestically 30%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, and SalesForce.com (or similar Sales Forecasting tool).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing is a plus.
