LOCATION: Monroe, NC
DIRECT REPORTING: Supply Chain Planning Manager
This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete Pumps delivery cycle. This position is on-site.
Principal Activities
- Create, own, and maintain an up-to-date detailed level Schedule for Products from baseline engineering timings to pack & ship including the creation of machine level schedules to aid production with priority lists and targets.
- Pulling of information from various departments to aid in the creation of detailed schedules.
- Liaise with the Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialists to confirm machine timings and routings.
- Assess impact on materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan.
- Work with Purchasing to expedite, reschedule, or revise material shipments to avoid production disruptions while preserving ideal stock levels.
- Creation of recovery schedules in the event of missed deadlines to ensure material is still available for customers on the requirement date.
- Coordinate daily flow of materials to and from outside 3rd party organizations.
- Enter 3rd party purchase orders, process, and approve vendor invoices in systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and Quality department for resolution of outside vendor product issues.
- Creation of inventory stocking plans.
- Perform analysis of safety stock levels and recommend modifications with regular cadence.
- Update and maintain ERP/MRP system with production schedule dates and expected lead times.
- Create and Release shop order picking lists in line with production plans to ensure attainment of company goals of On Time Delivery and Past Due Order reduction.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within Work orders.
- Process Shop Scrap and rework transactions from the production process within systems.
- Develop Capacity planning methodologies and maintain accurate capacity planning data within the ERP/MRP systems.
- Identify areas of improvement for planning in the ERP system and work with IT on impact-based solutions.
- Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
- Lead production meetings for specific business site.
- Interact with customer care and sales personnel with respect to all aspects of customer order scheduling, expediting and quote requests.
- Performs other job-related duties and tasks as assigned.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of working within a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship
