Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen, an established and progressive California workers’ compensation defense law firm is seeking to hire a full-time, experienced Legal Assistant for our office in Santa Ana. The ideal candidate is organized and highly motivated, with at least three years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in workers' compensation defense.
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of workers' compensation rules and procedures
- Ability to calendar events and manage deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and EAMS
- Civil/subrogation experience is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud-based case management systems/MerusCase Management a plus
- Leadership experience a plus
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- At least 3 years of experience working as a legal assistant, preferably in workers’ compensation or insurance defense
