The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorney(s) in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, briefs, etc.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence.
- Finalizing and filing tax court pleadings.
- Assist with case analysis and meets all applicable deadlines.
- Summarize and manage large document productions.
- Assist with all aspects of document productions (including, redactions, and bates stamping).
- Proficient in administrative task (calendaring, meeting deadlines, organization of case files, managing logistics, etc.).
- Work and assist in the firm’s document management system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Certificate from an accredited paralegal program is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years prior paralegal experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
