Position Summary:
The Employment Services Coordinator at SARRC will play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with autism, helping them develop essential job skills and secure meaningful employment. This position requires a strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders, employment services, and a desire to deliver evidence-based group treatment to teens and adults.
Please note that this position involves some travel to clients for service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Service Delivery: Provide individualized and group-based job readiness training, job coaching, and resume building to teens and adults with autism.
- Community Partnerships: Collaborate with employers and funding sources to establish and maintain strong relationships, ensuring access to employment opportunities.
- Skill Development: Assist individuals in developing essential job skills, such as interviewing techniques, workplace etiquette, and problem-solving.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with autism in the workplace, ensuring equal opportunities and accommodations.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress, service delivery, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1-year documented experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- RBT certification is required (we provide paid, in-house training to obtain this certification).
- A solid understanding of employment skills and services.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in education, sociology, mental health, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in employment services or vocational rehabilitation.
Salary:
Starts at $20/hr.
