Role Overview:
As a Master Data Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the master data essential to our production and engineering operations. This role plays a crucial part in supporting efficient manufacturing processes and innovative product development by ensuring alignment with physical processes and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management and Integrity:
- Maintain and update master data in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Develop and implement data standards, conduct audits, monitor for discrepancies, and collaborate with IT to resolve data issues and enhance data quality through validation and cleansing processes.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement solutions for improving master data management processes. Train and support staff on best practices for data entry and maintenance.
- MES and ERP Alignment:
- Ensure seamless integration between MES and ERP systems by collaborating with IT and operations teams. Maintain documentation of data flows and participate in system upgrades.
- Data Governance:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, lead initiatives to enhance data quality, and facilitate cross-functional teams to address governance issues.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor data quality and provide insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, governance, and analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and master data management principles, with hands-on experience with BOMs and routers.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Certification in data management or related areas.
- Experience in the audio or electronics manufacturing industry.
