Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology. This position offers the opportunity to lead our well-established Department, its innovative clinical programs, and its well-staffed faculty into the future.The Department of Radiology is the academic and clinical center for training and clinical treatment at MU School of Medicine. The Vice Chair will play a prominent role in developing a compelling vision for clinical services within the Department that is focused on growth and embraces MU's education, research, and clinical care missions. This is an opportunity to further develop the infrastructure that is supportive of the Department's growth that is recognized as an innovative market leader for providing comprehensive and high-quality radiological services at our primary clinical institution and training site at MUHC, which includes Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, South Providence Medical Park, and Women's Hospital.We seek a strong leader in radiology with a powerful combination of vision, energy, and leadership who will embrace the patient-centric culture within MUHC. This Vice Chair must have a passion for developing state-of-the-art services and research activities, along with a strong business sense and ability to responsibly manage the human, material, and financial resources. Additionally, this Vice Chair will align the resources of the Department with radiologic services across our health system. Leaders at Missouri Health Care System and School of Medicine will especially welcome applications from underrepresented minorities as we seek to enhance our diversity and inclusivity hiring initiatives.The Position:This Vice Chair will report to the Department Chair of Radiology, Dr. Talissa Altes and will receive strong support and mentorship during their transition into this leadership role.The new Vice Chair will be board-certified in Radiology, have significant leadership skills and excel in at least two (2) of the areas of our three-fold mission: clinical care, education, and research. The Vice Chair will also work effectively with the leadership of SOM and MUHC. They will lead a dynamic department across the divisions of Body Imaging, Breast Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Imaging, Pediatric Imaging, and Vascular & Interventional Imaging. The Vice Chair will foster collaboration and engagement across research, teaching, and clinical missions. They will foster new interdisciplinary initiatives designed to engage multiple disciplines throughout the University, region, and nationally and internationally.Major Responsibilities:Lead the Department of Radiology, the academic home of all SOM/MUHC
