As a Software Test Engineer, your role will involve enhancing current processes to ensure scalability, with a focus on software for manufacturing and testing operations. This requires expertise in software development, defining requirements, and validation processes. This is a full-time, hybrid position at the Naperville, Illinois headquarters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing custom software for manufacturing and testing using LabVIEW and MATLAB.
- Creating and maintaining software requirement documents and validation plans.
- Leading software validation testing for process validation.
- Coordinating projects and collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Conducting meetings with team members and providing technical support.
- Managing manufacturing software repositories and offering training on software operations and testing.
- Developing process tracking metrics to drive improvements.
- Working with suppliers to ensure timely deliverables.
- Performing additional tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, Software Developer, or a related field.
- Experience developing manufacturing or testing software.
- Experience in LabVIEW and MATLAB.
- Expertise in software requirements and validation, including unit testing.
- Preferred experience with medical device software validation (ISO13485) and GMP quality standards.
- Experience with Cypress or Appium testing tools
- Excellent communication skills, especially in technical writing.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
