Pipe Yard Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Pipe Yard Supervisor to oversee the daily operations at our Ohio yard. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that yard operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Your leadership and attention to detail will play a vital role in the success of the team and the organization.
As the Pipe Yard Supervisor, you will coordinate loading and unloading processes, manage inventory, and ensure that both employees and equipment are operating at their best. Your New Role:
As a Pipe Yard Supervisor, you will have a significant impact on the efficiency of our yard operations and the overall safety and productivity of the team.
What You Need:
- High School Diploma required; College Education preferred
- Experience in PVF (Pipe, Valve, and Fittings) preferred but not required
- Strong leadership and multitasking skills
- Ability to oversee all yard operations, including:
- Recording material receipts into Titan
- Supervising direct reports in daily tasks and handling personnel issues
- Approving timesheets for payroll processing
- Supervising truck loading and coordinating with customers and drivers
- Organizing pipe inventory and assisting with inventory control and cycle counts
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently according to OSHA and TPS standards
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift/move objects weighing 10-50 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift objects over 100 lbs with proper equipment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and occasionally sit and climb
