We are partnered with an amazing CDMO who are looking to bring on a Business Development Manger to oversee the Massachusetts area. You will be coming into a lively work environment where you will play a key part in creating new business for the team!
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region, targeting sectors such as Pharma, Biotech, venture capital firms, non-profit organizations, research institutions, and veterinary sciences.
- Engage with key decision-makers who are relevant to business interests for potential outreach.
- Develop existing contacts and leads into immediate revenue opportunities.
- Establish new connections with biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the designated territory, facilitating meetings with technical teams and senior leadership as needed.
- Maintain systematic records of sales activities, meeting notes, and revenue forecasts.
- Assist in proposal writing, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation tailored to client needs.
- Deliver attentive and comprehensive customer service to both current and prospective clients.
- Support marketing research initiatives and contribute to the development of a robust marketing database to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide market insights and feedback to senior management team.
- Represent the client at conferences and trade shows through attendance, exhibiting, and speaking engagements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal partners to develop and maintain timelines that align with project goals.
- Travel within the assigned territory as necessary to nurture customer relationships.
- Uphold reputation by representing the company ethically, accurately, and professionally in all interactions.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in biologics drug substance manufacturing services, preferably in a CRO/CDMO environment.
