We are currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position offers an excellent chance to work in a dynamic emergency department and a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) while providing high-quality patient care in a diverse community. The duration of this locum position is flexible, with needs extending until new hires are found, potentially through summer 2025.

Facility Overview:
- Work at a hospital with 250 beds and a 43-bed emergency department.
- The FSED provides an additional platform for patient care, handling approximately 60 patients per day.
- While the facility is not a trauma center, it serves as a Comprehensive Stroke and STEMI Center, catering to a diverse patient population.
- The main emergency department sees an average of 150 patients per day.
Supportive Work Environment:
- Join a fully staffed emergency department, including experienced nurses, techs, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Collaborate with 6-8 Emergency Medicine residents per day in the main ER, enhancing both learning and support.
- The FSED is similarly supported by APPs and EM residents, ensuring high standards of care.
Flexible Scheduling:

- FSED shifts: 6 AM-6 PM, with additional coverage during peak hours for APPs and EM residents.
