They are seeking a Senior Manager, Web Development to join their team. The ideal manager will oversee website development projects to ensure that work gets completed on time, with accuracy and on budget. You will be expected to lead the development process and manage the development team from project kickoff through to launch.
NOTE: This is a hybrid in-office/work from home schedule, which requires that the candidate can work in the company's Melville, NY office mid-week.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the team of developers and project managers, ensuring they complete assigned tasks on time and up to our quality expectations.
- Develop detailed agency proposals and timelines for new website projects for prospective and existing clients.
- Gather relevant information from the client and all internal departments to determine scope and final deliverables, create proposal/scope of work for client approval, and schedule/attend necessary meetings.
- Oversee the creation of website discovery guides, utilizing cross-departmental subject matter experts as required to ensure all disciplines are represented.
- Organize and manage pre-discovery and discovery work sessions, Develop post-discovery summary documents for both internal review and client approval.
- Once a project isactive, coordinate all internal departments to track its task progress against the schedule and budget, set/attend incremental meetings, and issue project reports as necessary.
- Coordinate with internal resources to monitor and forecast any scope or schedule changes that may impact approved budgets and timelines. Alert Account Services and Project Manager to any deadline and cost implications and escalate as needed.
- Identify and manage third-party partners and resources – including negotiating rates, monitoring budgets, and ensuring efficiency and quality of output.
- Mange and improve the quality assurance process to ensure project delivery is user-friendly, defect-free, and meets client expectations.
- Collaborate with contributing agency departments throughout the development process – including design, content, analytics, SEO, and others.
- Lead meetings with clients alongside agency team as needed.
- Conduct post-mortems as needed to improve operational efficiency and inform future website builds.
- Work autonomously and escalate as needed, consulting with senior leadership for decisions that impact profitability and client relationships.
- Measure and improve profitability of department outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least five years of experience working in digital development, with experience in project management, user interface design, and an expert understanding of current web development standards (including web browser specifications, responsive design and mobile-first design).
- Experience using Figma strongly preferred.
- Advanced understanding of design and usability principles.
- Knowledge of technical requirements/limitations when developing creative solutions, especially with WordPress.
- Strong written and communications skills and ability to write proposals.
- Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and minimum supervision.
NICE TO HAVE
The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in User Experience (UX) and user journeys who can lead this process from project kickoff, design features and pages, incorporate client feedback, and answer any UX questions from website designers and developers.
- Act as the user-advocate during the discovery and development process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing or expert review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective.
- Assist in developing web architecture, user flows, wireframes and site maps – with ability to translate UX/technical issues into plain English for nontechnical audiences.
- Collaborate with studio designers, copywriters and developers to meet objectives at each stage of the website build.
