SUMMARY:
Global Market Management (GMM) is accountable for the strategies and the profitable growth of their market segments. They are the business leader and “thought leader” for their markets and an authority on the value chain from H&V to the end-user. They are responsible for understanding the market trends and applications, beyond frontline customers, and the broader competitive landscape. They are charged with developing and executing strategies that position H&V as the solutions leader. They work closely with customers along value chain, Sales, Product Management, and Technology to define product requirements, multi-generation application plans, and product positioning to ensure strong value propositions. Global Market Management is responsible for supporting the global commercial teams to deliver growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- “Segment Leader” for markets and applications
- Global market growth plans, LRP ownership
- Identify market opportunities and target customers
- Support sales team in business development
- Ownership of marcom agenda, web / social media content
- Value proposition, product positioning, messaging and promotions
- Gather and share market intelligence
- StageGate project sponsor: define market potential, CTQs
- Market segmentation, application development (IP strategy)
- Value chain mapping and pull-through strategy
- Market pricing (targets and min by application)
- Managing/ensuring critical H&V committee presence, influencing standards
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in industrial marketing, sales, product management, and product development
- Minimum of a BA or a BS (preferably in a technical discipline), MBA preferred
- Experience in filtration/separation
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Pricing, segmentation, positioning, marketing communication, and strategy development
- Sales and negotiation skills
- Financial analytics and development of business cases for justification of investments
- Superior written & verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience in end-user outreach to generate “pull-through” demand
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Up to 50% travel
- Schedule flexibility for periodic calls with global team members in other time zones
