Job Description:
The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to teach medical emergency courses. This position will focus on educating dental and dental hygiene students about emergency response protocols and procedures in clinical settings, ensuring they are equipped to handle medical emergencies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct dental and dental hygiene students on medical emergency protocols
- Provide practical, hands-on training, including simulations
- Assist in developing and updating course materials
- Ensure compliance with clinical and safety standards
Qualifications:
- RN with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or licensed EMT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- must hold a current license in the State of Michigan without restrictions
- Experience as an educator preferred
