A client of ours are seeking a skilled and motivated Tier 3 Support Technician to join a dynamic IT support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security and system administration, with hands-on experience in Cisco ASA, FirePower, Windows Server, and VMware environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support for complex issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues related to Cisco ASA and FirePower appliances.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage and support VMware infrastructure, including virtual machine deployment and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement solutions and enhance system efficiency.
- Document technical procedures and create knowledge base articles for future reference.
- Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to the development of preventive measures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to networking and virtualization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Tier 3 support role or equivalent technical position.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls and FirePower Threat Defense.
- Proficiency in managing and supporting Windows Server environments.
- Experience with VMware administration, including vSphere and vCenter.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Microsoft MCSA, VMware VCP) are a plus.
