Job Summary
- The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
- The individual must demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, which may include, but not limited to oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, blood gases, airway management, non-invasive and invasive ventilator setup and monitoring.
Education and/or Experience
- Required
- Associates Degree
- With a certificate in Respiratory Care.
- Preferred Education
- Bachelors Degree
- With a certificate in Respiratory Care.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred License/Certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
- 3rd to 4th weekend rotation
- 1 to 3 holidays per year rotation
- General hours 6:00am-6:30pm
- On call 1-2 nights a week rotation

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
