A growing insurance company in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Account Manager. In this role, the Account Manager will be responsible for focusing on delivering excellence in client management and retention. The position is suitable for candidates with a proven track record in commercial account management who can manage a high-volume book of business.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends)
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days on site; 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Effectively managing a high-volume book of insurance business, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Growing client loyalty by building positive relationships, providing advocacy, and delivering excellent service
- Handling renewals, service requests, claims, billing, and new policies
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of markets, underwriting guidelines, and submission procedures
- Reviewing all applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy
Qualifications:
- 3+ years minimum Commercial Account Management experience
- Property & Casualty license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with discretion around sensitive information
- Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Applied/Epic or similar agency management software experience
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
