We are seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician 3 to join our Woburn, MA team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Field Work
- Work closely with senior staff on existing Client Projects.
- Solid base knowledge of multiple aspects of Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, and/or Building Sciences.
- Experience performing various Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene services to include, but not limited to project scopes for: mold, indoor air quality, asbestos, lead, worker exposure monitoring, noise monitoring.
- Perform and collect field measurements using a variety of monitoring and sampling equipment.
- Maintain thorough and legible field notes.
- Present data and make recommendations to senior staff on actions to be taken
- Draft technical reports or portions of reports
- Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agency representatives in a professional manner.
- Effectively communicate with direct supervisor and other Atlas team members
- Follow Atlas directives and standards.
- Other projects as assigned.
- Practice and maintain a safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, must meet qualifications to successfully complete Drug-Alcohol Testing
- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or certificate in project planning, management, environmental sciences, engineering, construction, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational health or a related science field preferred
- Field work experience may be substituted in lieu of science education requirements.
- Must be able to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
- 4+ years’ experience of technically sound consulting experience conducting Industrial Hygiene and Building Science projects
- Asbestos/Mold Surveys, Exposure Monitoring Experience, Noise Monitoring Experience
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation
Technical Requirements:
- Experienced in preparing technical reports and/or proposals preferred.
- Microsoft Office and apps experience required.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality and/or industrial hygiene services required.
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
- Ability to travel locally up to 90%
- Ability to work nights and weekends up to 40%
- Ability to travel regionally or out of state up to 50%
- Effective communication skills
- 40 hr HAZWOPER preferred
- A professional certification in at least one of the following: Asbestos, Lead, Mold
