Summary:
We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to oversee the planning, direction, and supervising of our clinical department. This position serves as a key member of leadership with a primary focus on effective staffing and scheduling, clinical operations, and compliance to ensure quality care is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations including daily team assignments/workload allocation.
- Oversee compliance with legal policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Supervise, direct, and motivate clinical staff.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the clinical orientation program.
- Perform employee reviews and provide feedback.
- Monitor documentation by the clinical staff to ensure strong standards.
- Monitor compliance with legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Monitor patient safety to ensure high performance of patient care is provided.
- Participate in meetings to aid the facilitation of practice improvement.
Education/Experience:
- BSN (or related clinical degree)
- Preferred: Master's degree in health administration or business administration
- Florida RN license (or other clinical license as required by the state)
- BLS/CPR certification
Performance Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven success collaborating with all levels of employees and patients.
- Developed leadership skills combined with the ability and willingness to be an individual contributor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, development and functionality. (AthenaOne experience preferred.)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information while conducting themselves with a professional demeanor.
- Skill in restructuring work to make the patient flow and other operational systems more efficient.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, delivering favorable results under pressure.
- Knowledge of payment/reimbursement systems and government/legal regulations and requirements related to healthcare.
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery trends and implications for clinical specialty and for the Practice.
- Knowledge of planning, budgeting, human resource management, and report development.
- Skill in motivating others to implement their decisions using tact, diplomacy, flexibility, and communication techniques.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
- Involves standing, walking, bending, grasping, manipulating, and squatting. Occasional need to lift patient during transfer/turn process with or without assistance. Stress can be triggered by workload and complex cases.
