Our client in Cottonwood Heights, UT is seeking a Securities Processing Specialist to join our team. The Securities Processing Specialist will process trades, dividends, income, and corporate actions and ensure that this activity is accurately reflected in the company’s trademarked systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately processing high volume and high value transactions from clients or relationship/client management teams
Ensure that daily processing and control procedures are competed, documented and properly recorded
Monitor daily client activity for trade settlement and funding activities
Process trades for security types including equity, preferred stocks, mutual funds, options, futures, and fixed income to ensure that activity is accurately reflected in the company’s system.
Process spot and forward foreign currency contracts.
Income Processing with a strong understanding of Mortgage Backed Pools (GNMA, FHLMC, etc.) and processing these
Work proactively with the client to confirm trade execution/Resolve issues and discrepancies
Daily reconcilement with Custodians positions, review where position breaks are occurring and research and resolve in a timely manner. Research security processing related inquiries from other groups and departments.
Work with the development team to enhance and deploy securities processing functionality.
Responds to operational inquiries from Client
Reconcile transfers, securities and asset transfers, and other department operations activities
Candidate will be responsible for accurately processing multiple transaction types in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Accuracy in a timely manner to accommodate daily deadlines is a requirement
Qualifications for Securities Processing Specialist:
Must be a fast learner and possess a thorough knowledge of the securities industry
Able to adapt to a volatile work schedule
No specific certifications, licensure or registrations are needed to satisfactorily perform this job
Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience required
Income Processing with a strong understanding of Mortgage Backed Pools (GNMA, FHLMC, etc.) and processing these will be a PLUS
Must have strong team work to support colleagues during heavy workloads
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of Securities Processing Operations Experience

Trust and securities processing activity
Actively support and ensure data accuracy and integrity for their responsible area
