Senior Electronic Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to assist in the development, manufacturing, test, and delivery of hardware components for our positioning system. You will be responsible for the digital, analog, RF and power circuits, test measurements, microcontrollers, low current operation, batteries, mechanical design and assembly, manufacturing, field testing, PCB layout, schematic capture, sustaining engineering, and more. Your work will require collaboration across our team (including contractors) – being involved with all aspects of taking a product
from concept to field deployment and fulfilling our customer requirements – and dreams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bring up new designs, test PCBAs, program microcontrollers, and develop and operate ATE systems.
- Review designs, assist with board bring up, assemble, and test devices and systems.
- Analyze and understand full system requirements.
- Specify and select components, enclosures, antennas, cables, and other hardware in coordination with other team members and vendors.
- Certifications, DVT, environmental, and HALT.
- Collect test data and write comprehensive, understandable reports.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
MUST HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
- BS degree in EE or higher.
- Experience with collecting and storing data and documentation in Google Drive.
- Competent in using and operating Windows PC OS, Linux, Microsoft Office, Google docs, etc.
- Extensive use of Altium (preferred) or similar CAD.
- Electronics experience – troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing (down to the component level) as a professional.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
SHOULD HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
- Competent in Python and/or C programming language and IDE.
- Soldering and board rework skills.
- Other CAD tool exposure - AutoDesk, Cadence, SolidWorks, Allegro, KiCAD, etc.
