The Senior Human Resources Generalist (SHRG) will execute human resources programs, including payroll, benefit administration, records management, and all aspects of talent acquisition, and support critical employee relations and retention initiatives. In addition, the SHRG will assist in administrative support for the Human Resources department.
The SHRG will make recommendations to the Vice President, Human Resources about issues that need to be addressed, i.e., what training programs are needed, how to improve onboarding and hiring practices, assist with employee moral programs, and perform any additional human resources functions to make AccessTCA a better company.
The SHRG is accountable for developing and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives that align with and support the overall business strategy and objectives. As an employee champion and change agent, the SHRG will bridge management and employee relations to promote employee engagement while enabling business success through human resources.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll
- In charge of the day-to-day management of all benefits programs as well as supporting the annual renewal and open enrollment processes
- Supports all aspects of talent acquisition, including developing job descriptions and job postings, screening resumes, collaborating with hiring managers to select qualified candidates, scheduling interviews for the interviewing team(s), and completing all new employee onboarding.
- Continuously monitor onboarding and training programs and provide ideas on how to create a more efficient process
- Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, conducting investigations as needed for the situation, and coaching and counseling both managers and employees with the intent of improving performance
- Stays current on trends and human resources topics, playing an active role in local human resources associations and local human resources events
- Partner with Vice President, Human Resources to develop and implement process improvements
- Assist with FMLA, PFML, and LOA requests
- Manage COBRA administration, issuing appropriate documentation, tracking payments, ensuring continuation of coverage
- Assist with carrier plan selections, assist with the coordination of the open-enrollment process, assist employees with benefit enrollments/changes, leaves of absence coordination, and processing workers' compensation claims,
- Review unemployment and workers' compensation claims for accuracy
- Provide administrative support to various human resources functions, including reward and recognition, performance management, employee relations, diversity efforts, internal events, and HRIS support/ownership.
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service.
- Excellent ability to build relationships and develop partnerships across multiple organizations.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
- Provides stay and exit interview detail summary and shares input regarding potential areas for improvement, as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience as a human resources generalist
- HRIS/ATS system knowledge, Paycom is a plus
- Strong customer service focus and a “can do” attitude
