We have current openings at: Fort Defiance Indian Hospital HWY 12 & Bonito Dr. BLDG. FD 3002Fort Defiance, Arizona 86504 Specialty: General Surgery License accepted: Any state. Certifications required: ACLS, BLS Experience requirements: Preferred 1 year of experience but will consider new grads. Education: Completion of an accredited Medical School Program. Completion of an accredited five (5) year general surgery residency program. Board Eligible or Certification by an approved American Specialty Board in Surgery. COVID vaccine required: Yes Weekly schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 4p Ability to work on a regularly assigned, rotation or call back basis to provide continuity of medical services during evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends . 1 OR block day/week with 4 clinic days/week. Clearance timeframe: 4-6 weeks Support staff: No surgical PAs. Expected volume: Emergent cases vary, elective cases on OR block days can be 4-6 per/day. Call: Rotation is typically 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the staffing. 3-4 Physicians share call rotation Call back frequency: 0-2 times Required to cover ER calls No in-house calls. Lodging during calls will need to be within 30 minutes response time (according to hospital bylaws).
