My client is an international bank and is seeking a VP-level candidate to lead their loan operations group.
This position will be responsible for a team of 2-3 employees that are responsible for the daily operations of closing and managing syndicated participation and bilateral deals within the structured and project finance space.
The role involves ensuring high-quality client service, conducting employee evaluations, managing staffing needs, assigning responsibilities for deals, setting best practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies, responding to internal reporting requests, and fostering collaboration with other internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate lender coordination as an agent according to the financing agreements, handling amendments, consents, waivers, and situations involving restructurings or workouts.
- Deliver timely service to both customers and lenders.
- Review preconditions for funding disbursements and repayments within the transaction portfolio.
- Share necessary reports and transaction details with deal participants.
- Communicate effectively with sponsors, borrowers, lawyers, consultants, and others involved.
- Maintain and develop relationships with other banks and borrowers involved in transactions.
- Ensure the team provides excellent service to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct staff performance reviews, give feedback, and support training.
- Manage the hiring process, including obtaining approvals and collaborating with HR.
- Assign agency role coverage among team members.
- Develop and implement best practices for agency functions.
- Review loan documents from an agency perspective before finalization.
- Maintain proper records of agency files, legal agreements, and other key documents.
- Manage KYC and client onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate administrative tasks with relevant departments.
- Handle additional work-related duties as assigned.
