Position Summary/Job Description:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with Product leadership and other team product managers to define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the payment team.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of backend technologies, architecture, and infrastructure to make informed decisions and guide the development team.
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of team projects, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for our systems and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, third-party and business teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics and stakeholder feedback to inform product decisions and measure success.
- Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with backend development, including technical debt and system vulnerabilities.
- Customer Focus: Be the voice of the customer within the payment team, clearly articulating user needs and customer goals, ensuring technical solutions meet customer needs and enhance the overall user experience.

- 5+ years of proven product management experience.
- 4+ years of experience working in agile software development processes, including writing stories/epics, managing a backlog, product roadmaps, and working within a Software Engineering & User Experience environment being the lead product expert.
- Detail oriented technical product management, able to easily explain the required technical changes the engineering team is making to anyone outside of the team.
- Excellent time management skills to help plan and prioritize work for the team, meetings with stakeholders, vendors, and impacted teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
- Previous Payment or Financial Services experience
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform product decisions.
