Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization, has been retained by a gifted K-8 independent school, seeking a Spanish Teacher in Seattle WA.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, passionate, and experienced Spanish teacher who inspires students and thrives in a collaborative atmosphere.
Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:
- Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students.
- Design daily instructional activities for all students and develop multiple tools to assess student learning on an ongoing basis.
- Be an advisor for mixed grade-level students
- Participate in class outings and overnight trips
- Attend faculty and department-grade-level meetings.
Spanish Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Latin American studies or related.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience with the developmental needs of 10-12 year old's.
- Experience implementing Spanish curriculum.
- Academic or professional experience in gifted education, creative problem-solving, and inquiry-based education is preferred.
