We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Corporate Accountant will play an integral role in accurately preparing our company's accounting records and performance. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash controls, producing the payroll, maintaining accounts payable and managing office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and documents to support the financial health of the organization.
- Participate in budgeting processes
- Review and implement financial policies
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, etc.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Oversee tax payments, record keeping, and reporting
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Ensure legal compliance by understanding current and proposed legislation.
- Aid in company financial and risk management
- Handling sensitive or complex financial information with confidentiality and discreteness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Proven experience as a Corporate Accountant; experience in a large company preferred
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the financial services industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong with Excel, and experience with popular computerized accounting systems
- Proven analytical skills - deftness to manage large amounts of data
- Superior attention to detail and good record-keeping skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- CPA certification is a plus.
