General Scope of the Opportunity:
- Provide vocational rehabilitation counseling services to individuals with disabilities
- Assess clients' abilities, interests, and goals to develop personalized vocational plans
- Assist clients in identifying suitable employment opportunities and job placement
- Provide guidance and support to clients in developing job search skills, resume writing, and interview preparation
- Collaborate with employers to identify job openings and facilitate job matching for clients
- Monitor clients' progress and provide ongoing counseling and support throughout the vocational rehabilitation process
- Coordinate with other professionals, such as medical providers and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients
Requirements
- Must have Certifications of CRC, CDMS, CCM, or LCPC
- Prior disability claims experience preferred
- Must live in the Portland area and willing to travel and complete in-home assessments as needed.
- Experience with transferrable skills analyses and occupational analyses required
- Ability to use standard vocational resources such as the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, the Guide to Occupational Exploration or O*Net
- Experience using vocational software such as SkillTran, OASYS or Economic Research Institute program
Expectations:
- Complete and successfully pass background check before we can add you to the network for assignments. (Usually takes 2 weeks for results)
- Have own equipment / home office with wifi.
- Hourly rate ranges from $40 - $45 an hour depending upon the territory, assignment, and experience.
- Reimbursed for travel expenses.
- Most cases close within 6 months. In most cases you will be averaging 10 hours a week, depending upon your schedule and territory.
- Paid weekly via direct deposit.
