We are a pre-seed startup with a big vision: to revolutionize employee engagement and streamline team integration. We’re building a B2B platform that reduces onboarding time while enhancing collaboration through the power of modern technology and AI. Our MVP, currently being developed by an outsourced team in Germany, includes a desktop and web app. We’re looking for a CTO or Founding Engineer to join us as Employee #2, to help steer the technical direction, drive product-market fit, and build out the core team.
Role Overview
As the CTO or Founding Engineer, you’ll be a key decision-maker, architect, and builder. You'll work hands-on to deliver the MVP while also thinking strategically about scaling our platform to meet the needs of future customers. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for early-stage startups, a product-centric mindset, and a desire to build something impactful from the ground up.
While we are open to considering remote as an option for exceptional candidates our preference to for someone onsite near Nashville, TN.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of our AI-powered B2B platform for improving employee engagement and team collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with the outsourced team in Germany to ensure the MVP is delivered on time and meets our quality standards.
- Transition the product from outsourced development to in-house capabilities by building a strong technical team.
- Focus on finding and iterating toward product-market fit through rapid experimentation and customer feedback.
- Drive the architecture and design decisions for scalable web and desktop applications.
- Contribute hands-on to coding, reviewing, and debugging to ensure product excellence.
- Align technical efforts with business goals and report directly to the CEO.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CTO, senior technical leader, or founding engineer in an early-stage startup.
- Strong product development mindset, with experience in building customer-focused products.
- Deep understanding of modern technologies, cloud architecture, and AI systems.
- Experience in building both web and desktop applications.
- Passionate about the pre-seed/early-stage environment and finding product-market fit.
- Ability to manage outsourced teams and oversee the transition to in-house development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and grow a team.

- Previous experience with B2B SaaS platforms.
- Experience with AI or machine learning technologies.
