MedSmart, a premier outsourced healthcare organization specializing in nationwide Nursing and Allied staffing solutions, is seeking an experienced Director of Radiology to join our Las Vegas team.
Job Summary:
MedSmart is seeking an experienced Director of Radiology to oversee and manage the diagnostic imaging department in one of our partner hospitals. This role involves the coordination of imaging services, ensuring efficient patient flow, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of imaging professionals, ensuring proper use of advanced imaging technology, and providing technical support and training as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure department adherence to clinical standards, established policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Care: Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction through exceptional care and service delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all imaging procedures meet physician, patient, and administrative expectations while complying with all relevant policies and guidelines.
- Departmental Planning: Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders, physicians, nurses, and staff to meet service goals. Identify and implement strategies for improving resource utilization, service delivery, and workflow efficiency.
- Human Resource Management: Act as a mentor and coach to the radiology team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring staff are fully trained and compliant with policies.
- Leadership: Provide strong, decisive leadership to the department, making sound decisions, resolving issues, and ensuring timely follow-through on projects and initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of a Healthcare Administration or accredited Radiology program. Fields may include Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, MRI, or CT.
- MBA or Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) certification required.
- Proven leadership experience, including direct report management, collaboration with peers, and interaction with physicians.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with critical thinking and proficiency in computer and business-related software.
- Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Current compliance with Continuing Education (CE) requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of specialty experience, with at least 2 years in a healthcare leadership role.
