Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative flatbed trucking company, focused on providing exceptional transportation services to our clients across the nation. They are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Truck Driver Recruiting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in recruiting and managing truck drivers, as well as a passion for developing and implementing effective strategies to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive truck driver recruitment strategy, including advertising, social media and other innovative methods to attract qualified drivers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry associations, and other relevant organizations to source candidates and stay informed about industry trends.
- Oversee the entire driver recruitment process that the driver recruiters engage in daily, including screening, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure all drivers meet company standards and comply with federal and state regulations.
- Analyze recruitment data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies as needed.
- Develop and oversee a driver retention program, including ongoing training, mentorship, and incentive initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the recruitment and retention of drivers.
- Lead and manage a team of recruiters, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge in driver recruitment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruiting, with at least 3 years specifically in truck driver recruiting.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting and retaining qualified truck drivers.
- Strong understanding of federal and state transportation regulations and requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with a strong focus on coaching and development.
- Proficiency in the use of recruitment software and social media platforms for candidate sourcing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Availability to travel as needed, industry events, and other recruitment activities.
