JOB TITLE: D365 F&O/CE SME

A direct client of Robert Half Technology is in need of a Dynamics 365 F&O/CE Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong focus on reporting and analytics. Our client recently went live on D365 F&O and CE and is looking to optimize the system’s reporting capabilities. This role will initially focus on improving insights and reporting but will evolve into a Project Manager position as the client expands its use of additional modules, including Transportation Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Reporting & Analytics: You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and reporting needs. This includes designing, developing, and optimizing custom reports and dashboards to drive data-driven decision-making. You will also be expected to use implementation expertise to identify gaps in processes and current reporting, and provide solutions that improve business performance and operational efficiency. Power BI is used for reporting so deep knowledge would be very beneficial.
- System Optimization: Analyze and enhance the use of D365 F&O/CE for current business processes including collaborating with the shared services team, the implementation vendor, and internal teams to ensure alignment between system capabilities and business needs. The ideal consultant will ultimately provide training to end-users to improve system adoption and maximize the value of reporting tools.
- Future Project Management:As the client activates new modules such as TMS and WMS, you will be looked upon to transition into a Project Manager role to oversee the full implementation process. This will include coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external consultants to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new modules. You will also conduct post-implementation reviews and continuous improvements for TMS, WMS, and other modules.
Must Have Skillsets:
- Proven experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Customer Engagement (CE) is required.
- Strong understanding of reporting tools within Dynamics 365, including Power BI.
- Experience in data analysis, report design, and custom report development.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and experience in managing technology implementations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
