HR/Benefits Specialist
Our client is looking to hire an HR/Benefits Specialist on a 2–4-month contract basis with the potential to extend to support their busy HR department. The ideal candidate for this role will need to have 2+ years of HR experience within benefits or strong passion for learning the benefits part of HR. Candidate must be reliable, confident, motivated, have a sense of urgency, self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills and can work well under pressure.
Contract Compensation: $25-$30/hr per hour*
*rate listed not guaranteed – potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications, and internal equity and may be outside of this range.
Applicants must be able to work onsite 2 days per week to be eligible for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate human resources activities such as open enrollment, managing HR inbox and answering questions
- Track and audit various human resources invoices/transactions such as benefits, tuition reimbursements/plan changes, leaves of absence, and salary changes
- Main point of contact for wellness programs/clinics, creating flyer/emails and getting the word to employees for special engagements
- Handle special projects, open/distribute mail for department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of Human Resources experience required
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, provide cross-functional leadership, and excellent project management skills required
- Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and good judgment
- Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar software and Adobe Suite
