Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Manager, Programs for our client, a globally impactful Nonprofit at the center of biodiversity, conservation, and human rights and working in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and movements worldwide. This is an exciting full-time, hybrid opportunity based out of Seattle, WA! This position includes approximately 30% travel to visit regions and Indigenous peoples in territory to deepen understanding of the organizations work and to support events, regional and global convenings.
As the Senior Manager, Programs, you will will support the Senior Managing Director, Partnerships and the Chief Program Officer with the implementation of the 5-year plan. Duties include conducting research and gathering information, providing analysis, supporting events and convenings, tracking submission of grant reports, supporting monitoring activities, and other general management tasks as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Program Management
- Oversee day to day project management of key programmatic initiatives, including existing programmatic projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are tracked
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to support programmatic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify programmatic needs, set objectives, and define metrics that align with strategy
- Research, Analysis, and SynthesisConduct research and organize information about the organizations partnerships and topics of interest for regional teams.
- Analyze portfolio data, identifying trends and communicating information to guide decision making
- Analyze and synthesize information to support progress reporting and grant/investment development.
- Project manage biocultural monitoring efforts
- Grant and Contracts ManagementOversee the holistic programmatic grant submissions ensuring alignment with the needs of the Chief Programs Officer and Senior Managing Director of Partnerships.
- Track all programmatic contracts ensuring alignment with organizational goals, donor requirements and legal compliance
- In coordination with the Operations team maintain accurate records of all grants, contracts, amendments and related documents
- Meetings with partners and other organizations as requested and following up as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree on environmental sciences, social sciences, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Experience working with or within Indigenous communities
- Fluency in French
- Basic knowledge of GIS
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
