An Automation Technician is being added to the engineering and maintenance team. The Automation Technician will report to the night shift Maintenance Supervisor and will work with a team of maintenance and skilled trades individuals on the night shift. Daily responsibilities will include optimizing the manufacturing process by:
- Troubleshooting and programming PLCs, robotics, HMIs and servos
- Partnering with maintenance and engineering to increase efficiencies and minimize downtime
- Fixing and debugging equipment in a timely manner, including VFDs
- Completing any needed training to improve skill sets
- Promoting and fostering an environment of training and developing others
- Other duties as assigned by management
This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of the time and have the ability to walk up to 2-4 miles per shift. Candidates should be able to take initiative, communicate at all levels, be able to work within a team environment, be energetic, able to take ownership of projects, have good work history and enjoy floor presence.

Requirements for the Automation Technician:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree would be preferred
2. At least 1-4 years of RECENT similar programming experience in a manufacturing environment (flexible depending on education)
3. Programming and troubleshooting of PLCs and/or robotics
4. Experience with VFDs
5. The ability to work a 12-hour PM shift long term
6. Good computer skills, including basic Microsoft Office experience
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Automotive supplier experience
2. Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting
3. Fanuc robotics
4. Allen Bradley PLCs
Candidates are preferred to be local to the Mansfield, Ohio area. A small relocation package will be offered for regional candidates with ALL of the required skill sets.
