Job Summary: Responsible for preparing construction estimates from civil plans.
Essential Duties:
- Read and understand civil construction plans
- Perform quantity takeoffs from plans
- Perform material takeoffs from plans
- Input estimate information into estimating software
- Maintain a high work ethic which includes but is not limited to GADCO Safety Policies
- Performs other duties and/or tasks as instructed or assigned
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in construction or engineering related discipline - preferred.
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid - preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, interact, and complete duties under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to fingers, stand, walk, sit and reach. The employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, twist, reach, carry, push and pull.
