Shirley Parsons is working with a well-established, major construction firm, focusing on a brand new, state-of-the-art Data Center project. They are looking for a Safety Manager to be a leader and safety champion. This person will be required to develop and maintain a strong safety culture, and effectively communicate with other leaders on all levels of the project.
The Role:
- Oversee on-site construction tasks by conducting safety inspections and making observations and participate in preconstruction and daily tool-box talks.
- Identify, create and lead new training programs as required for project and leadership assistance.
- Guide the project team using the site-specific safety plan and the Zero Injury Manual policy guidelines.
- Direct team members through example, provide constructive coaching and feedback, and manage performance efficiently.
- Carry out and evaluate site risk assessments alongside project management throughout the planning and construction stages.
The Candidate:
- 5+ years of Safety experience in construction, working on major projects. Data Center experience preferred.
- Professional certification (CSP, CHST, etc.) preferred.
- Strong communication skills with key stakeholders and other project leaders.
- Dedication and enthusiasm for the Zero Injuries Philosophy, along with the capability to combine safety with operational practices.
