We are currently seeking a Design Lead to join our team of professionals in our Orlando, FL office. The designer will assist in management of the day-to-day production of multi-family interior design projects to meet deadlines accurately. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, creating and managing budgets and schedules, sourcing fabrics, wall covering, furniture and other materials and working with the team to prepare formal board presentations. This position will report to the Project Manager and assists in leading the junior design staff members.
Responsibilities
- Provide Project Admin Support to Designers and Managers
- Oversee and lead design team on smaller multifamily projects
- Interact with clients regularly
- Coordinate with other professionals such as contractors, architects, engineers and other consultants to ensure job success.
- Develop strong relationship with Vendors
- Prepare, manage Furniture Budgets
- Oversee Furniture Budgets on smaller projects
- Oversee Furniture PO’s and orders on smaller projects
- Redlining 50% construction document sets on smaller projects an ensuring that designers pick up redlines with accuracy
- Relaying pertinent project specific information to PM for RFP’s
- Utilize Vendors and Materials knowledge to create unique and innovative presentations.
- Produce documentation, detailed instructions, drawings and specifications.
- Assist in Requesting Pricing for Budgetary Purposes
- Support Tier 1 & High-End clients
- Adheres to Building codes & ADA Compliance throughout project lifecycle
- Manage & Coordinate Installs
- Record Meeting Minutes
- Pull Furniture, Art & Accessory Selections.
- Domestic Travel is required
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in interior design
- Professional license is required
- Experience should be relevant to Multifamily.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Revit & SketchUp is desirable
- Outstanding presentation skills
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm and with clients.
- Ability to communicate design ideas and concepts
- Develop Strong Intercompany relationships.
