PeerSource is currently recruiting for a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator on a Direct Hire basis for our client in New Orleans, LA.
Summary
The PeopleSoft Systems Administrator ensures the smooth operation of Finance ERP analytics and reporting systems, with a focus on maintaining optimal system performance and ensuring stable application functionality. This role also involves collaboration with various teams to implement software updates and system upgrades, contributing to seamless financial operations and future system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee PeopleSoft system performance, performing tuning and maintenance as needed, and remain on-call for system issues (overnight processing monitored by NOC).
- Manage PeopleSoft development, test, and production environments, including application servers, process schedulers, and web servers.
- Collaborate with DBAs to rebuild and clone environments, perform system upgrades, and manage updates through PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
- Apply patches, develop customizations, and support project migrations, working closely with developers and vendors to resolve system issues and improve performance.
- Provide backup support for the Hyperion Systems Administrator, managing Essbase and Hyperion planning applications, including data loads, security, and business rules.
- Administer Oracle financial services analytical applications and partner with relevant teams to manage application upgrades, perform knowledge transfers, and support ongoing financial operations.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience administering financial-based ERP systems.
- Experience using PeopleSoft Application Designer along with installing, configuring, and maintaining PeopleSoft's architecture (Application Server, Process Scheduler, and Web Server, client applications).
- Ability to manage and configure various PeopleTools utilities.
- Ability to perform basic Oracle or SQL (structured query language) database administration tasks.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with Hyperion Planning Suite and Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications, Life Cycle Management (LCM), Financial Reports a plus.
- Experienced understanding of Banking reporting requirements, budgeting and forecasting in a financial services organization preferred.
