Our Client is a leader in Retaining Wall Construction. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a commercial builder in Benicia, California.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Junior Structural Engineer helps the company put into practice its innovative, value-engineering approach to wall and related construction technologies. Works closely with company leadership, field personnel, customers, and vendors/partners. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Plan and conduct design work on building and retaining wall structures requiring judgment in the
evaluation, selection and application of engineering techniques
• Work with project team internally and externally to deliver projects
• Set up, modify, and maintain CAD drawings and details of work
• Effectively represent the company’s engineering capabilities through direct customer contact
• Assist with the permitting process
• Accurately job cost time and related costs
• Other duties and projects as assigned

• Sound experience with AutoCAD or Revit
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• B.S. and/or M.S. Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering
• 0 to 3+ years working in the field of structural engineering
• Knowledge of or practical field/construction experience
• Working towards becoming a California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Successful completion of current Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
• Seismic design experience or education
• Understanding of the IBC, ACI, TMS, AISC and ASCE 7 codes
