Key Qualifications for the Plant Manager:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Dairy, or Food Science, along with four years of leadership experience in a Dairy or Food Manufacturing setting, is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform essential duties effectively; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

- Commitment to safety procedures and practices, including the use of safety equipment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with upper management regularly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel for data management and reporting.
Responsibilities of the Plant Manager:
Plant Operations: Oversee and approve production schedules, ensuring goals are met and inventory levels are maintained. Conduct daily meetings to align team activities and monitor production efficiencies and key performance indicators (KPIs). In the absence of the Operations Manager, report directly to the Director of Operations.
Plant Quality: Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed daily. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and process optimization. Communicate effectively with plant staff regarding facility goals, quality issues, and non-conformances. Review microbiology test results and manage any out-of-spec products with the Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager.
Plant Audits: Ensure compliance with product safety, regulatory standards, and company policies. Collaborate with Quality Assurance during plant audits.
Industrial Wastewater Management: Monitor wastewater facility operations and review daily reports.
Sanitation Oversight: Check CIP records and conduct random equipment checks with chemical representatives.
Employee Management: Audit sampling and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with GMPs and safety protocols. Provide necessary training, including annual GMP and HACCP training.
Culture Development: Promote our core values of integrity, accountability, safety, and respect in all interactions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Purchasing Oversight: Review and approve supply orders, track purchases, and maintain inventory of production materials.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all plant equipment is operational and that preventative maintenance is completed. Approve work orders and maintenance reports, and recommend equipment upgrades as needed.
Environmental Compliance: Review Air Quality reports and coordinate with regulatory agencies for annual compliance tasks.
Safety Leadership: Promote a safe working environment through exemplary behavior and adherence to safety initiatives. Conduct daily safety audits and collaborate with the EHS Manager on safety training.
