Summary
This role is a direct report to the General Manager and a member of the plant leadership team in our Wichita, KS heat treatment plant that supports the aerospace, defense, and energy industries. This position is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and services provided to customers meet the contractual requirements established by customers and procedures. The Quality Manager has the organizational freedom to identify problems related to quality and correct them, initiate action for their correction, or stop any work or activity that violates the established quality standards.
Major Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a documented quality program that meets customer requirements and corporate standards.
- Provide procedures, as required, to support quality department objectives.
- Review customer proposals, requests for quotations, and/or purchase orders, including changes, to determine quality requirements, and ensure their input into internal planning.
We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Qualifications
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Education: Metallurgy or Material Science degree preferred.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with ISO, AS9100, and NADCAP quality systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of department management and 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Six Sigma Green Belt.
