An exciting opportunity to work in Downtown Boston. Long established firm has an immediate opening for a paralegal. Necessary skills to be successful in this role include attention to detail, strong computer and typing skills, excellent communication skills; both written and verbal, and a strong work ethic.
- Filing, typing, preparing paperwork and answering correspondence for attorneys
- Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests
- Direct contact with clients and courts to aid attorneys in gathering necessary information as needed
- Answer basic client questions as able and consult with attorneys
- Request documentation pertinent to ongoing cases
- Draft responses to discovery, prepare motions and other pleadings as requested
- Track billable time and post fees to client accounts through TABs
- Submit billings for expenses to the firm’s controller after client is billed in TABs
- Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
- Preparation of closed files for archiving purposes
- Achieve assigned billable goals
- Cover reception area when necessary answering phone and greeting visitors to the office
- Maintain a professional attitude and presence within the office
- Complete ongoing professional development through employer sponsored training with MCLE
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
